Being Compassion: The Practice of White Tara, guided by Acharya Eve Rosenthal

October 26th—October 27th

Date details +
    Price:
  • $100

A weekend retreat to explore the practice of White Tara associated with the nurturing aspect of compassion and protection from obstacles and fear.  The practice has a long history within many lineages of Buddhism, and we will be using a brief practice familiar to some of us that was written by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche.

The connection between formal practice and how we move through our lives is not always clear.  During this weekend, we will explore cultivating compassion through White Tara practice and how it can support our activity, uplliftr our attitude and enlarge our perspective.  Each seesion will include meditation, creative activity to explore our experience, White Tara practice, and teachings on compassion.

We are fortunate to have Acharya Eve Rosenthal, a senior teacher from Halifax, guide us through this weekend retreat.  If you are not able to come to the full weekend, you may attend just Saturday.  The price for just one day is $60.

A catered lunch on Saturday is included in the price.

Prerequisite:  To have received meditation instruction at a Shambhala Centre.
